If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of South Africa and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

  1. SMS Notifications

We may use your cellphone number for the exclusive purpose of transactional updates with regards to delivery or collection of orders you place on our website. We will not contact you via SMS related to any marketing matter.

Pricing and Availability:

Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact, you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

  • We try hard to keep our listed pricing current. Prices may be subject to change at our discretion due to exchange rate fluctuations or supplier price changes. We reserve the right to cancel an order due to unavailability of stock or unexpected price changes.
  • Sometimes, our website might overlook and still offer a product that has been discontinued or is no longer in stock with us or our suppliers. If you order a product that we are unable to supply due to these reasons, please be understanding and patient with us. We will gladly offer alternative products and if we cannot supply what you need, we will gladly refund you.

 

Delivery Information

Most items listed on this website are not held in stock at our premises (unless otherwise stated) and are rather ordered from various suppliers as orders are placed. While we constantly update the site’s prices and product stock levels based on information from our suppliers, it is recommended that you wait for an email from us before making payment for any orders placed on the website. We will also give you an estimated delivery time. Certain items such as fully assembled PCs may have a slightly longer lead-time (due to the fact that they’ll need to be assembled and tested). Should any item not be in stock with our suppliers, we will contact you to suggest a substitute product. At this point, you may accept the substitute, place the item on backorder or cancel the item from your order.

Once the order has been confirmed, you can make payment via EFT or cash deposit or credit and debit card. These are the only payment methods that we accept currently. Orders will be placed with our suppliers once proof of payment has been received and shipped once the payment reflects in our bank account.

Payment must take place within 48 hours of placing the order or we may cancel it or update it if pricing has changed.

Delivery Options:

  • Door-to-door Courier (via The Courier Guy):

NOTE: Door-to-door Couriers do not deliver to PO Boxes. Please provide a Street Address at checkout.

Your order will be delivered directly to your door. Please note that your order’s weight is calculated using the higher value of actual or volumetric mass for each product. The delivery rate is calculated according to the total weight of the items in your cart, the total price of the cart as well as the destination address.

Please note that the delivery rates can change if the couriers are delivering to high risk area’s, a representative from greenhacks will contact you if there is an extra charge for the delivery.

 

Collection from greenhacks Offices:

Clients may also collect their purchases directly from greenhacks in Midrand. There may be a waiting period of 1-3 business days after placing the order, before you can collect. We will inform you via Phone or email once your order has arrived.

How long will delivery take?

Typically, we’ll get the courier to collect your order within 24 hours (provided that you pay into the correct bank account FNB and the payment has been verified). Delivery timeframes for each courier may differ. These timeframes are valid for business days and take effect from the time that we dispatch your order.

If you’re not in one of the major centres listed delivery may take 1 or 3 days longer than the above normal times. All packages are fully trackable and tracking numbers will be provided once your order has been shipped.

Insurance:

By default, all orders do not carry delivery insurance. Delivery insurance by The Courier company is calculated at five percent (5%) of your order total. Should you want to opt-in for delivery insurance please email us at [email protected], the fee will be added to your order and is payable in the final total.

 

What happens if I don’t receive my order?

All orders dispatched from our offices are guaranteed to be delivered. If your order is lost, damaged or stolen, we will either send you a replacement order or we will refund the full order to you. It’s at our sole discretion to choose whether to replace or refund the order. This is a fantastic service that we feel is absolutely essential to provide peace-of-mind to our customers.

If any parcel delivered by our couriers appears to be damaged, please be sure to verify both the contents and condition of the consignment in the Prescence of the courier driver. Email or contact us on live chat immediately if any product is damaged or missing. Liability for any shipments sent from us ends with the obtainment of a clean signature from the consignee upon delivery of the goods.

Returns Policy

Returns:

If a client is not satisfied with a purchase, it can be returned within seven days of the delivery for a full refund, less the shipping costs. Full refunds will only be issued if products are returned unopened and with all packaging and any other materials that were part of the original purchase.

Should an opened product be returned, a re-stocking fee of up to 25% will be charged, provided that all the original packaging and all materials are provided with it. Should an opened item be returned without some or all of the original packaging and materials, greenhacks reserves the right, at its sole discretion to levy an additional fee.

Goods returned in opened packaging need to be returned in a condition that is fit for resale. Software and consumables can only be returned if they have not been opened.

All products being shipped back to greenhacks should be carefully packed in protective materials where necessary. The package should have the order number and return address clearly marked. Should a product be damaged while being shipped to our offices; greenhacks  will not be liable for the damages. It is recommended to insure any items that you send to us.

All orders cancelled by the client prior to shipping (being prior to fulfilment), for which payment has been received by greenhacks, will be refunded to the client in full including any delivery charges quoted. Accordingly, for the avoidance of any doubt, all payments made by the client and received by greenhacks are fully refundable deposits until the order is shipped (“fulfilled”) by greenhacks, It’s the Only way.

Replacements:

All products sold by greenhacks are covered by the manufacturer’s original warranty, which is at least 1 year from the date of order, unless otherwise stated. Some products have longer manufacturer warranties, and we honour these warranties as well.

Should you have a faulty item, contact us and we’ll assist you by providing you with the details for the return process. In this case, the customer will be responsible for arranging delivery of the faulty item back to greenhacks, but greenhacks will cover the return shipping costs back to the customer and if the item has been tested as no fault is found it will be at the customers expense for the return of the item.

In the unlikely event that a product sold by greenhacks is DOA (Dead on arrival) or becomes faulty within 30 days of the delivery date, we will arrange for a courier to collect the item from you and will cover the shipping costs both ways.

Please note the following issues/problems will not render the product defective and will not entitle you to any repair, replacement or refunds:

  • faults resulting from normal wear and tear
  • physical damage to the product
  • when you, or someone unauthorised has altered, damaged or removed the warranty seal(s) and/or screw(s)
  • hardware or software (including operating systems, applications, games, etc) that is not compatible with your system and/or existing hardware.

If the product is found to be defective, will either:

  • Replace the product with either a new or refurbished product
  • Repair the product
  • Credit the product

The final decision on the status of “defective” products is made by the supplier/manufacture.

  2. For the avoidance of any doubt, we confirm that we are not affiliated or connected with any third-party payment provider. Accordingly, the information you provide to them during your application and credit assessment (if applicable), as well as the details of your payment plan, is not shared with us at any point. We are not liable for any breach of privacy or information that may occur between yourself and the third-party payment provider.
  3. Returns and subsequent refunds for orders paid for via a third-party payment provider will be processed by ourselves to you via their platform, subject to our returns policy. For buy now, pay later (BNPL) payment providers, these refunds will not be interchangeable for store credit, EFT refunds, or any other form of reimbursement under any circumstances. 4.2 Exchanging an item on your existing order for another item would result in a return and refund of the item on the initial order, and the placing of a new additional order for the exchanged item. The new additional order would be subject to a new payment plan (if applicable) in the event that the same third-party payment provider, and not another payment method (e.g., EFT / card), is used for the new additional order. 4.3 Removing and returning an item from an order with multiple items would result in that order being partially returned and refunded via the third-party payment provider’s platform. Please refer to refunds and returns via third-party payment providers above.

4.4 For BNPL payment providers, any refund resulting from an amendment to an order will not be interchangeable for store credit, EFT refunds, or any other form of reimbursement under any circumstances.
